Entry form for the 2026 UK Beatbox Championships – Festival of Vocal Arts & Music Careers Convention, for the loopstation category only.

Entries will close on the 31st July 2026 at 11:59pm. 

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SUBMITTED YOUR ENTRY WITH PLENTY OF TIME BEFORE THE DEADLINE INCASE OF ANY ISSUES. LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

Looping Types

1. Raw (no FX)

  • Boss RC505 MK1 or MK2 only. Using 1 device only and no midi controller or extra device is allowed.
  • Input or Output Fx are not permitted in this type, so if you are a looper who choses to loop using just a mic and loopstation then this is for you.
  • You are permitted to use: Global Compression and Reverb, Global mic EQ (no input EQ on the fx chain, this is for the global EQ), One Shot, Reverse, Bounce and assigns that do not control FX. 
  • The output must be a mono (single 1/4 Jack) or stereo (2 x 1/4 jack) as standard, there cannot be any more outputs than this.

2. Loopstation Only

  • This type requires the user to participate using only a Boss RC505 MK1 or MK2. Using 1 device only and no midi controller or extra device is allowed
  • Any FX on the loopstation are of course permitted
  • The output must be a mono (single 1/4 Jack) or stereo (2 x 1/4 jack) as standard, there cannot be any more outputs than this

3. Loopstation + Midi Device

  • This type requires the user to participate using a Boss RC505 MK1 or MK2 plus a midi controller e.g. Novation Launchpad. Using 1 device and 1 midi controller is allowed.
  • Fx are of course permitted
  • The output must be a mono (single 1/4 Jack) or stereo (2 x 1/4 jack) as standard, there cannot be any more outputs than this
  • Please make sure your Midi Device is in the pre-verified list or message us so it can be verified for use by our team

4. Loopstation + Midi + extra device/s

  • This type requires the user to participate by using a Boss RC505 MK1 or MK2, a 2nd device e.g. Line 6 device and a midi device/controller e.g. Novation Launchpad
  • Can be up to 2 extra devices + a midi device
  • The output must be a mono (single 1/4 Jack) or stereo (2 x 1/4 jack) as standard, there cannot be any more outputs than this
  • Please make sure your 2nd device/s and Midi Device is in the pre-verified list or message us so it can be verified for use by our team

5. Loopy Pro

  • This type requires the user to participate by using the Loopy Pro system
  • This must be used on a single iPad tablet and must follow the same rules as using a standard Loopstation.
  • + 1 Midi device will also be accepted and you can use built in plugins and 3rd party plugins (AUV3)
  • Again, you must use an iPad with Loopy Pro and have an audio interface to capture your microphone to be able to give output to the sound desk at the venue
  • The output must be able to be a mono (single 1/4 Jack) or stereo (2 x 1/4 jack) as standard, there cannot be any more outputs than this.
