With a 21-year international cultural legacy delivering the UK Beatbox Championships, UKBC are the Industry Standard Setting Organisation for beatboxing and beatbox related vocal-arts in the UK music, arts and creative industries. We have been setting the standards of UK Beatboxing for over 21 years with our much coveted national UK Beatbox Champion titles and World Leading educational work.
We are the only UK beatbox organisation appointed for projects at Government level including working with The Department of Business & Trade, The Prime Minister’s Cabinet Office and the Government’s UK & Ireland GREAT Campaign.
UKBC are the World Leaders in beatbox and beatbox related vocal-arts education having taught over 1.5 million people in-person how to beatbox.
UKBC is the UK’s original, largest and longest running national beatbox event, festival and organisation. For over 21 years we have developed National Occupational Standards (NOS) that form the foundation of beatbox and beatbox related vocal-arts skills and education across the UK.
Working with music artists, educational establishments, colleges, Universities, training providers, awarding organisations, professional bodies, stakeholders, employers, and government, we help ensure education, training and opportunities reflect the real skills needed for beatbox and vocal-arts careers in the music, arts and creative industries and beyond.
DEVELOPING THE STANDARDS
We develop National Occupational Standards (NOS) that define the knowledge, skills and level of performance expected to be considered professional in beatboxing and beatboxing related vocal-arts across the music, arts and creative sectors.
These standards underpin workshops, courses, apprenticeships, work placements, and training programmes across beatboxing and beatbox related vocal-arts.
SUPPORTING EDUCATION
We work closely with educational organisations, training providers, colleges, Universities, academies, educators, youth groups, community groups, Local Authorities, and corporate organisations to support high quality beatbox and beatbox related vocal-arts education across the music, arts and creative sectors and beyond.
Through our Music Careers Convention, Education Membership, Education Forums, Education & Skills Initiatives and CPD delivery overseen by qualified lecturers, we bring together educators and industry experts to help raise standards across the music, arts and creative sectors.
