The 2012 UK Beatbox Championships took place at the O2 Academy Islington in London on 5th August 2012 and marked a significant milestone in the evolution of the event. This year saw the introduction of both the UK Women’s and Team categories, expanding the championships beyond the Solo competition for the first time.

The 2012 edition also introduced the elimination format, which would go on to become a core part of the UKBC structure. Successful competitors performed a 1 minute 30 second elimination routine, with the judges selecting a Top 8 to progress to the battle rounds.

Defending champion Ball-Zee returned in pursuit of a second consecutive title and faced BeatFox in a memorable final. Ball-Zee emerged victorious to retain his championship, becoming the 2012 UK Beatbox Champion and only the third competitor in UKBC history to win multiple national titles.

Elsewhere, Grace Savage defeated Dana McKeon to become the first UK Women’s Beatbox Champion, while Ill-Bits were crowned the inaugural UK Team Champions.
