The 2009 UK Beatbox Championships took place at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London on 20th June 2009. The event marked another significant step forward for the championships, moving to a larger venue while continuing its partnership with Vauxhall, who once again provided a brand new car for the winner.

The championship was preceded by four qualifying heats held across the UK in Nottingham, Bristol, Leeds and London. The winner and runner-up from each heat earned a place in the Grand Final in London.

With reigning champion MC Zani choosing not to return to defend his title, the competition was guaranteed to crown a new champion. After finishing as runner-up the previous year, Reeps One battled his way through the competition to claim the title and become the 2009 UK Beatbox Champion.
